Yesterday in P1/2, we decided to bake wheaten bread from scratch, inspired by the story of The Little Red Hen. We talked about the ingredients needed and followed the recipe carefully. Everyone took turns measuring, pouring, mixing and kneading the dough. We also learned the difference between wet and dry ingredients and the importance of having clean hands before preparing food. It was lovely to see the children bringing their learning from the story to life and working together to make something they really enjoyed eating!
