Today, we continued our Maths Week fun by sorting autumn leaves into different colours using sorting hoops. What started as a simple activity led to some spontaneous learning when the children discovered that many leaves had more than one colour. This sparked a discussion about how we can sort items by one or more criteria and even introduced us to the idea of Venn diagrams. We also explored which colours were the most and least popular among our autumn leaves.
