As part of World Book Day, we brought in a book we loved when we first started reading and a book we enjoy now, thinking about how our confidence, interests and tastes have developed over the years.
We also got our thinking hats on—literally! Using different props, we created characters, discussing the genre they would belong to and the role they might play in a story. With our theme of ‘Cosy Reads’, we finished the day by settling down with our favourite books, hot chocolate and biscuit. 🍪
