Science day in p4/5 ๐Ÿงฌ ๐ŸŽˆ ๐Ÿงช

11th Mar 2026

Today, we celebrated Science Week with some  fun experiments! ๐Ÿงช

First, we explored chemical reactions by mixing vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to inflate balloons. The boys and girls were amazed watching the balloons grow as the gas was produced! ๐ŸŽˆ

We then explored forces, attachinh balloons to a piece of string and sending it across the classroom to see how the force from the air would move them along. It was exciting to watch them zoom across the room! ๐ŸŒŸ

Next, we carried out a rainbow experiment using kitchen roll and coloured markers. The children drew colours on the paper and watched as the water travelled up the tissue, spreading the colours and creating beautiful rainbow patterns. ๐Ÿงช ๐Ÿงฌ ๐Ÿง‘‍๐Ÿ”ฌ

Everyone worked brilliantly together, showing great teamwork, curiosity and enthusiasm. The boys and girls loved investigating and asking thoughtful questions about what was happening in our experiments. Well done everyone! ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‘
