To celebrate St Brigid’s Day, the children in P1/ P2 took part in a lovely hands-on activity making St Brigid’s crosses using rushes.
They worked together in small groups, showing great teamwork while carefully following instructions step by step. As they created their crosses, the children also learned all about the symbolism of St Brigid’s cross and why it is an important tradition.
Everyone worked so well as a team and produced some beautiful crosses.
